Manchester Science and Industry Museum Visit

Last Wednesday we visited Manchester Science and Industry Museum (MOSI).
The Science and Industry Museum is located in the city centre. It hosts the world’s oldest surviving passenger railway station and the world’s first railway warehouse from 1830. While we were in the museum, we saw amazing objects and learn about the men and women whose ideas changed the world forever. Daily demonstrations bring the museum’s world class collection of textile and industrial machinery to life. There are also interactive exhibits to explore and a regular programme of changing exhibitions to enjoy. The current one is called Top Secret: From Ciphers to Cibersecurity.
Our sponsored student Sara, made loads of pictures while she learnt about the density of different periodic table elements, the industrial past of our city, how communication was from beginning of 19th century to nowadays (telephone, computing, internet…) and important medical achievements on Greater Manchester on the last few decades.
If you want to know more about our EEC Social Program do not hesitate to write us an email or just leave a comment on this blog post and we will reply.
